Hahn Jewelry is designed and made in Long Beach, Ca. My name is Dhamee Hahn (Tammie to make things easier) and I fabricate and cast my pieces using sterling silver and 14kt gold dipped brass wire.
Having always been passionate for working with my hands, I received a BFA in jewelry and metalsmithing at California State University, Long Beach and an MFA at The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
While nature has always been an underlying source of inspiration, much of my visual interest comes from Art Deco and Modern architecture and their idea that form follows function. Wire as structural lines and the use of negative space is embraced in all designs. While the initial approach is drawn on paper, it is only with wire in the 3-Dimensional format that I am able to complete the sketch. I strive to make a product that is not only bold and timeless but also well made.
Because simple jewelry shouldn't have to be boring.
